We wanted to thank you both for all of your hard work and excellent guidance in helping us with the process of selling and buying our new home.  We appreciated your honest approach from the beginning.  The work you did in staging our house for the virtual tour and open house really paid off.  Your knowledge of the local market and understanding of what needed to be done to get our house seen by people was clearly evident.  The guidance you gave us through the process of negotiating offers and your ability to quickly resolve any problems that came up made the entire process easier and less stressful for us.

You also offered excellent advice in helping us to find the home we wanted and making an appropriate offer on it.  You were pro-active in the search process and were always available for us when wanted to look at houses or had questions.  You continued to stay in close contact and were always on top of what needed to be done next all the way up through the closings on both homes.  It was nice (and rare) for us to feel that you were both truly happy for us and were looking out for our best interest every step of the way.  Even little things like helping us get moving boxes and always being available for all of our minor questions made us feel that we had made the right choice in a Realtor.  You always made us feel like we were your highest priority.

It’s refreshing to see that you both genuinely enjoy your job and it stands out in the work that you do.  Buying/ selling a home can be a stressful process and it was comforting to know that we had experienced people that we could trust working for us.  We would not hesitate to recommend Devlin-Forde Realty to anyone looking to buy and/or sell their home.

Devlin-Forde were our brokers for both selling our old home and purchasing our new home.  However what Mary Devlin and Mary Forde did was a great deal more than that.  Making the decision to move is huge – making the decision to relocate your family - your children - is life altering.  Finding and working with people who understand that concept and all the anxiety that goes along with it is a miracle.  Mary Devlin and Mary Forde are those miracle workers.  They are genuine, caring people who have an in-depth knowledge of the modern real estate market and know how to advise, apprise, present and sell a property.  Upon meeting with Mary and Mary it was easy to make the decision to have them represent us.  They knew exactly what was needed to get our home sell able, they spoke to us intelligently and thoughtfully.  They researched our market area and represented our best interest – the best interests of our family. 

Once our home was under agreement and we began the search for a new home both women investigated the communities of interest to us – presenting us with all important town information – taxes, schools, easements, liens, etc.  They researched every property we were interested in to be sure we had all the information necessary to make an informed choice.  Mary and Mary were available at all times - day, night, weekend for a call from us with a question or inquiring on the status of our sale or purchase.  Their attention never faltered at any time throughout the process.  Anyone who has gone through a purchase and/or sale knows it can be tedious – however Devlin-Forde made it a great deal less difficult than it could have been.  They saved us from a few mistakes and patiently endured our changes of plan.

Details of the Recommendation: "We used Mary Forde of Devlin - Forde Realty to sell our home in West Roxbury and to help us to buy in Westwood. Mary displayed a great knowledge of the local real estate market and of what it takes to sell a house in a tough market. Mary made some recommendations for "staging the house" - furniture rearrangement, refinish the wood floors and some exterior painting to give the place a little extra "curb appeal". The market wasn't great in June/ July 2008 when we put the house on the market but with the help of some extra accessories that Devlin-Forde provided and a fantastic custom website and house brochure the house sold after the first open-house.
